| G O D B L E S S T H E U S A ! |
- as terrorists attacked our nation
- on every TV station.
-
We looked on in horror
The news was viewed around the world
- we watched in disbelief
- and overwhelmed with grief.
-
As the news and footage replayed,
Feeling total helplessness
- on US soil before,
- to when we fought the Civil War.
-
To discover this much blood shed
We must go back in history
- the whole world feels your pain;
- that they did not die in vain.
-
To those who mourn their loved ones,
And, please be reassured
- ...patiently we'll wait;
- we will retaliate.
-
We know the evil one behind all this,
And, when we find out where he is,
- and try to lay the blame
- we are all the same.
-
We cannot point at one another
For democrat or republican,
- and the choice belongs to us,
- and in God put all our trust.
-
We are all Americans,
We must stick together
- to bow our heads and pray.
-
As all across America,
our flag we all display,
We must also take the time
- and pray our leaders do not quit;
- for now's the time they need it.
-
Pray for all of those who mourn,
Let them feel the strength of God
- must stand proud and tall,
- divided we will fall.
-
And "WE THE PEOPLE" of America
For united we will win this war;
- we must take a stand today,
-
Americans unite;
Let those who did this hear our shout --
